We are recruiting a Community Café Cook
Are you an experienced cook who is great with people and building community? We are excited to be recruiting for a new role that has become available Our House Community Hub and help us expand our vibrant café, serving delicious, healthy meals that bring people together in our community cafe.
Role Details:Hours: 7 ½ hours
Salary: £23,750 pro rata (£12.18 ph)
Location: Walton Community Hub
The Role:
- Plan cook and serve nutritious, affordable meals.
- Co-ordinate café operations as part of a team of staff and volunteers.
- Part of a team that creates a welcoming space at the Community Hub for connection and preventing isolation.
- Support wider Our House Community events and workshops.
What You Bring:
- Café/kitchen experience and great organisational skills.
- Compassion, energy, and a love for working in a community hub setting.
- Food hygiene knowledge and a willingness to learn new skills.
- Great team working skills.

Board of Trustees
Are you passionate about making a difference in a Liverpool community? Do you have expertise in finance, safeguarding, HR, or IT? At Our House Community we are looking for dedicated and compassionate individuals who believe in what we do to join our Board of Trustees and help us continue to provide compassionate spaces where people can connect, get involved and find a sense of belonging.
The Opportunity
We are seeking new Trustees to join our board. We are particularly focussed on recruiting people with experience in these areas:
- Treasurer: A financial expert to oversee their financial management, budgeting, and sustainability
- Safeguarding: An individual with experience in safeguarding to ensure the safety and well-being of our community members
- HR experienced: Someone with experience in human resources
- IT/Digital Specialist: A professional with IT expertise to help them enhance their IT and digital infrastructure to support their growing needs.

Time Commitment
We are asking for a minimum two-year commitment including regular board meetings, focussed committee work, and participation in trustee training and annual team and strategy days.
Trustee roles are voluntary, but reasonable out-of-pocket expenses can be reimbursed.
